Well friends, this post is better late than never. Those of you who follow me on Instagram may remember a bake-off between two label designs last month. Well time got away from me, but here’s the winner! I used a recipe from Canning for a New Generation, but modified the spices to my preference. I also left the peels on the apples because I’d seen other recipes skip peeling and, let’s face it, not peeling them is way less work! I visited a late-season indoor farmers market this weekend to find plenty of apples still available. Whether you’ve already canned your apple butter or are looking to whip up a batch, here are some fun labels just in time for hostess gifts and holiday exchanges.

What You’ll Need
- A Printer – Inkjet or laser will do, but I find that for any kind of food labels, laser printers are preferable because the toner doesn’t run when exposed to moisture. Here’s the one I use.
- 2.5″ Round Label Paper – I used these Avery Print-To-The-Edge Kraft Brown Round Labels. They are also available in glossy white.
- Apple Butter!
