Last night was pesto night and I needed something to share at the office potluck today. Clearly, a simple pesto dip with a baguette was my go-to. Even more fitting, the theme of the potluck was appetizers. After making this for the first time, I can now say it will be one of my summer go-to’s. Basil season is in full swing. Here’s a great way to enjoy it.

Yield: 2 Cups

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Basil Pesto – You can, of course, use store-bought, but homemade is so much better.
- 1 cup Creme Fraiche
- 1/2 cup Shredded Mozzarella
- 1 sprig Fresh Basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a bowl and stir until blended.
- Garnish with fresh basil, optional.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate.

So many ways to enjoy…
Serve with pita chips or bread, add to Italian sandwiches, or spread on a thinly sliced baguette and toast in the oven for a gourmet pesto garlic toast.
